Cutest Baby Contest –(revised 3/10/2010)

Article and announcement will be in the local media as soon as possible announcing the contest to benefit the Arra Moon Memorial Scholarship.

 

Eligible entrants must have been born after 04/01/08 (April 1, 2008).  Entries with a 3 x 5 picture and $5.00 fee are to be received not later than Sunday, 04/04/2010.  An entry form must be completed at the time the picture and fee are received.  We will number the pictures, later, in order of   receipt (date and time as entered on the form by the Lion who accepts the entry).  The first 24 entrants will be entered.  Entries can be accepted by any Sunset Lions member, or at Boo Bear’s Den, or at Lumberjack Café.

Posters (2 feet by 3 feet) with all pictures, without names and numbered in order of receipt, will be posted in the designated five locations (Lumberjack Cafe, Maggio’s Pizza, Old Country Inn, Sonora Cantina, and Boo Bears Den), together with a supply of voting envelopes and a wooden box with a clear plastic face as a receptacle.  Voting will begin on Sunday, 4/11/10.  Votes are One Dollar each, and are to be entered on each envelope together with the number of the baby. A bonus of Five votes will be awarded with any single donation of $20.00.  Votes may be made on our Web site (www.sunsetlions.info) by using PayPal.

We will collect the votes on Sundays with the top ten (10) to be reported in the media, and will be posted at each voting site.

Voting will end on Mothers’ Day (5/10/10), at 3:00 pm.  The winner(s) will be reported in the media on Wed., 5/19/09, and we will award the $100 savings bond to the winner along with a trophy, the $75 savings bond to the runner up, and the $50 savings bond to the honorable mention baby at our Students in Government Banquet that night.

In the event of a tie, the earlier entry will be declared the winner.
